Ingredients for Flax Bread:
- 250 grams of golden flax seeds (can be substituted for flax flour)
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 16 g of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 tablespoon vinegar (can be any kind)
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1/2 cup of water (125 ccs)
Equipment
- Large bowl
- Blender
- Oven
Step by Step Instructions
Seeds
Put the golden flax seeds in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons to the blender glass and blend until the seeds turn into powder. Continue like this with the rest of the seeds until they are all transformed into powder.
Mass
Put the flax flour in a bowl. Add the salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix everything. Then make a hole in the center and add the wet ingredients, the eggs, the vinegar, the oil, and mix. Little by little the water is added until the dough is soft but with more consistency than the dough of a common cake. That when lifting the dough with a spoon it slides slowly.
Mold
Any mold can be used … in this case we used individual molds for muffins or silicone cupcakes of considerable size, not small, that’s why only 5 came out.
Cooking
Preheat the oven to 180º C and cook them for 25 or 30 minutes or until when you pierce the center with the tip of a knife, it comes out clean without anything adhering. Remove and wait for it to cool down a bit and unmold.
